Default humidity -horsepower?

okay so i know that heat and humidity rob horsepower....my car has 11.2-1 compression and 400whp....today i got on it and it felt like it was down about 30whp....granted today was about 90 degrees and humid as ****...when i say it was down around what felt like 30 horse, im comparing it to how it runs on a 60-70 degree day in not so humid conditions....i guess what my actual question is...is it possible for weather to make that big of a noticable difference? or do i need to look into something else maybe being a problem....car does not have a mis to it and otherwise felt and sounded 100% healthy, just about 3-4 tenths slower then the normal 12.0 it runs....by the way...the car actaully had a slight backfire today in one instance and its only done it one other time since i had it. the car is tuned so.....anyone who knows this answere for sure, it would greatly be appreciated. thanks in advance

I wouldn't worry at all. Weather has a huge effect on horesepower. I can feel a difference between really hot and humid days and nice cool days.

Wait for a cool day and try again is the only way to really know, but I'd say yes the weather can make that much difference.

edit: can make it feel like that much difference.

I ran a 13.0 @ 108 on a nice cool 50 degree day. 2 months later, I went back when it was like 80 w/ 90% humidity and I ran a 13.2 @ 107.... Was hoping for 12's....

Air is measured in temp, pressure and humidity. The density goes down as the humidity goes up. For your engine this means less oxygen per breath more useless water vapor. So backfire from rich and less power.

barometric pressure also has a noticable effect on your performance whether your running FI or NA

I won't even go run my car in this heat, 90 plus degree southern ohio. I'll go back this Fall and see if I can get in the 12s before I add some more mods.
