HAHA thanks but z28's are pretty cheap down here. My 2 friends both got theirs for 4k plus title tax etc. One was a 00' 6 speed with 96k and the other is a 98 with 56k that one killed me when he said he got it for 4 grand lol. I ws after a ta or formy but theyre about 1500 more and usually have more mileage. I actually was looking at a black ss that needed a new upholstered seat on the drivers side and new lifters in the motor with 2000' 108k on the clock for $2500. However I went through the whole thing with my last two cars I wanted something already good to go lol. I still may go look at it tho when I pick up the z cuz theyre 5 min from eachother.

Redbird, I felt a little sick when I heard how much you paid. I think thats going to be the new norm for the LS1 F-bodies. We can all thank the wonderful shiny new 2010 Camaro for that one. Anybody wanna buy my car for $1500, or is that too high in today's market? (j/k about sale of course)

My friends actually bought theres end of last summer and into the fall so the new ones werent even out. Car sales here in south florida and florida in general suck and were hit harder by the economy. With that said I missed out on a nbm ws6 at a local dealer last week for $5500. The going rate for
z28's, ta's, formy's etc are around 6k but if you shop a little bit on craigslist autotrader etc they can be found for 4-5k atleast here. Lou backrodt chevy which is here in pompano beach has a 00' z28 for $7900 with 59k on it full leather interior beautiful car but I dont have 8k right now lol.

Was curious..I've seen Katrina cars pop up in IL/IA for dirt cheap in the past so I am always leary of a 'great' deal.

I put a procharger on my car at 52k miles and had it tore down at 128k miles to rebuild it (read: forge it) and then put a turbo on it.

I ran Mobile 1 in the car and changed the oil at 6k miles. Changed fluids as needed and when we tore it down at 128k, I asked Jason, Extreme's lead mechanic, how things looked and said whatever I was doing, keep doing it, the internals looked great.

I was blessed with my car. It was totally stock at 55,000 miles to the paper air filter. I am about to do heads/ now at 87,000 miles. I already have a cam in with headers etc. I changed all the fluids. I will do it again at 100,000 miles. So far no problems.
