its a nice looking car, i would go with it, but i would make sure before you do. try and go to carfax website and try to get the vin so you can. its worth it so see if anything ever happened to it. for what they asking, either something wrong with it or they are really needing to get rid of it. go and look at it, see if you can see any problems with it. give it your 100% inspection before buying. if its good enough for you, then you got 1 heck of a deal.

Seems a little high for a 98 IMO. I gave 4k for my 98 with 104k and bone stock. I see them around here going for 5-10k I would really look it over good and drive it a good ways just to be sure.

I wouldn't pay anything over 5k, definitely look at the car and make sure it's in really good shape. pay attention to every single little detail. I bet the guy would take 5k though. as far as the highschool kid comment, I agree.

Let me say this, as I look at the car, look at the mods, and what was recently done. The car was probably bought 2-3 years ago with 90k on it, paid 9-10k for it. Kid got it for his 1st car and put the stereo BS in, and managed to put miles on it.
Then when he blew the clutch, they fixed it and with the milage and probable abuse, it still doesnt shift right and now he is going to college and it needs to go.

I was actually looking at that car before i bought mine.. He was asking a bit more for it when i was in the hunt.. I think its a good deal.. I paid 4100$ for mine with 175k on it but mine is pretty much stock with a few bolt ons and that is what i was looking for. I was looking at that one, a 2000 silver Z28 and a 98 mystic teal one(which is the one i went with)

Dont be impulsive an wait for a deal... This is no a bad deal.. But i picked up my 2001 Formula 6 speed for $5000 with 80k miles Bone stock with WS6 Hood an wheels... Good deals are around.. Patience is the key! An i would be weary about that thing being abused to hell...
