also.. are you guys running from a dig or a roll? I don't see much use for slicks unless this car is gonna be a mostly track car.. I'd get a nice set of drag radials.. I got Nitto 555R extreme drags and they serve me very well.. read reviews of lasting 15-20,000 miles.. with multiple track passes.. 1.5-1.6 60fts too

I've always ran slicks, well M/T ET streets, when ever i run someone. I just switch them out when i know i'm going to race. And i need to get some new ones. With the Nitto 555R dr's all i've hered is bad things, i've been told my numerous people that they're not worth it.

Just so I understand, you've added LT headers, a GOOD y-pipe, stall, and dynotune since the first race? And will be adding 3.73's and maybe a cam in the near future? I may have missed it, but what was your stock gearing? 3.23 or 2.73?

I dunno....with a stall, gears, and tune I think you might be close no spray vs no spray. I know he's got more done, but that doesn't mean it was done well! Maybe throw a cam spec'd by Patrick G in there to work with your stock heads and be done with it...

But, without the cam I think it'll be close, and I'm kinda leaning toward you being a little quicker.

You may not have to worry about running him, if this individual is as clueless as you say. He may very well experience the big "boom" before the rematch even materializes. If I ever bought a modded car, one of the first things I would do is have it tuned, unless I personally knew the previous owner, and was certain he had it done right. So, he's never had it tuned, and he's running juice without any timing retard, bottle heater, or a window switch? YIKES!! In a BEST case scenario, he's probably leaving alot of power on the table.
