I will...talked to the owner again tonight and he's sending me some pics tomorrow, plus his bottom line price. If it works out, I'll be picking it up this weekend.

I bought a bone stock 2000 WS6 A4 with over 100k on it and it has never had a problem running. It was beat up, had not been taken good care of, and had a lot of issues with the electronics, but she always runs and guns. And for the price I got, I can afford a re-flash of the BCM.

And 11-11.5k is a VERY good price for a WS6 M6. I see similar mileage cars listed for as much as 4k more than that!

Is there anything in particular I should check out with a higher mileage LS1 (90k)? I wasn't considering high mileage rigs, but one came up that's too good to pass up (otherwise i'd have searched around).

I went ahead and bought it ('99 SS M6). It's extremely clean. The interior looks like that of a x<50k mile car...not one with 90k. I've wanted a Camaro for a long time. Yay for me! lol

Got pics today. Heading down Saturday to pick it up, as long as there are no issues when I inspect it and drive it. Gathering from the pictures, I don't expect there will be. At the risk of jinxing the entire deal...the price is 11.4k.

seems a little high to me but you are in alaska so i can see how they would be that high. And 80 thousand miles a high mile car hahaha we got a guy here in town who got 200 thousand out of his ls1 and that thing is redlined everytime he is in it. I say jump on it looks good.

I didn't know you could reflash the body control module? I thought I had to replace it. I'm experiencing promblems with mine not shutting off and running my battery dead.

Looks good, Id say pick it up if everything checks out. Leather looks in good shape. AK prices must be like Cdn prices, usually 10-25% more. When I was looking for a WS6 back in 03, the cheapest was around 25k+, they still go for 18k+

wow you got a VERY VERY VERY VERY GOOD deal there!

6k for a 01 Z28 with 78k on the clock is unheard of

and OP i'd say for every car maintenance is the key, if the car has been meticulously maintained and never been beaten to death before go for it...i'm not really a big fan of WS6 or SOM but 11k is alot

Went to check the car out today...ended up coming home without it. Really sucks, I had my hopes way up. Everything looked good until I took it for a drive...rear end is growling and almost grinding bad at low speeds, and howls bad at highway speeds...really bad. I was really disappointed. Oh well, thanks for the advice guys.

That is a ****** clean SOM. I would get it. I picked up my 2000 Z28 last year for 6k after my tradein. And my car is not as clean as that.

EDIT: That sucks about the rear! 10 bolts suck though. If you can talk him down some more, use the extra cash you save and just buy a 9"!

Yeah, I'm hoping we can work something out. I'd still like to get the car, but not at that price if the rear is on its way out.
