Should I be concerned about buying an 80k mile car?

Hey guys,
I'm back...or about to be, hopefully. I got some bad advice 4 years ago when I moved to Alaska and sold my '01 WS6 6 speed thinking I wouldn't be able to enjoy it here...and have sorely regretted it ever since. Couple cars later, I'm back in the market. And I've found a decent candidate to replace my old one, but I'm concerned about the mileage a little.
It's a SOM WS6, 6 speed with 80k. Price isn't really the issue, I think I can get a fair price for it. Do you guys think I should be concerned about the 80k miles, though? It's bone stock original and has been babied and pampered it's entire life. Always garaged, and meticulously cared for. No accidents, no scrapes, no tears in seats, no nothing. Just a straight up clean WS6, but with 80k on the clock.
I would be mildly modding this car, but nothing more than lid, full exhaust, cam, shifter...minor bolt ons. I might go FI down the road, but that would be after a rebuild or new forged bottom end. I drive my cars spiritedly, but I'm not hard on them...I don't drive it like freaking crazy every time I get in.
Anyways, what do you guys think? Anything I should be concerned about, or ask about? I know these cars and LS1s pretty well, and I feel good about this car, but it's always good to get other's perspective on these things.
Thanks guys...hope to be back in the fray soon, with this car or another.

Sounds like this may be a good candidate for me then. He claims it is meticulously maintained, and that synthetic oil changes have been performed every 3,000 miles. The only repair he told me he had made was to change out one of the driving lights. Sounds straight and clean.

dont be concerned. I bought my 01 ws6 with 98,000 miles on it in Jan. of 08. It was almost completly stock, all that was done was a borla catback and k&n air filter. Everything else was stcok including the air lid. Just having those 2 minor mods made me feel for comfortable buying a high mileage car because I had a pretty good idea the car had no been beat on to death.

Asking 13k. He did not hesitate to say that the price was negotiable when asked, though. Car has been for sale for a while here... I'm hoping to get it for 11ish if everything checks out.
What do you guys think it's worth? I posted another thread in the What's It Worth forum, but might as well ask here, too.

The other thing you guys need to understand is...I live in freaking Alaska. You don't see these cars every day here, and I mean Z28, SS, T/A, or WS6s...they just aren't common. So yes, you have to pay more in Alaska, especially for the SS or WS6. That said, I'm not going to shell out an extra 2k just because it's close. I don't want to overpay, but I'm a fair guy and I'll pay what I think it's worth.
KBB shows it worth 11.7k, for the record. Not that KBB is the be-all, end-all, but I'm just saying...

That sounds like you got a very good deal on your car! It is a WS6, which is going to bring more money than a Z28, and it's SOM...which, like I said before, doesn't mean THAT much to me, but does increase the value.
