The SLP's 400 kit is good for 400hp at the crank ( motor ). If you want to get 400 to the rear wheels you are going to need a Cam and some other supporting mods. Do some more research.

That may net 400 at the crank, but thats about. When my car had those mods it made 332rwhp and 341ft-lbs. To make 400 at the wheels you pretty much will need a cam or a shot of squeeze.

400 at the crank is simple.. 400rwhp you need a cam or nitrous. Even a cam only and tune will put you around 400 to the wheels

its a 99 TA M6. sorry forgot to put that in.

so let me see if i understand this now.

all the above mods
a cam
larger fule pump
maybe a fpr
heads?
ls6 many or fast 90 (kinda pricy not a fan of that)
tb

and thats about it? what if i was looking at more like 350 to 375? 400 may be a little out of my range for now. was hoping to pick up a 9 inch rearend today but mised out on it.

also i have heard that if i find a 9 inch out of a Ford that it will bult right in true or false? if true anyone know what moddel and year ford i should be looking for?

You don't need a fuel pump unless your's is on its way out. 350rwhp is possible with boltons and a tune. (longtube headers and full exhaust basically).

If you went with a cam, a cam only would put you close to 400, if you add heads, that will def put you to 400 if not over.. and then if you added a ls6 intake or fast I would say you should be over 400 depending on the cam. I'm on a mild 228 cam here and still have a ls1 intake and im right at 400 just about. With a ls6 intake that will open alot for your power!

what u need is a texas speed MS3 or MS4 a cam patriot gold spring kit good for .660 lift, headers, lid and ls6 intake manifold. You'll be a touch over 400 but thats good. thats my set up as a daily driver and love it. well plus the 150 shot of happy gas. u should look in to nitrous it's fun

No, a 9" rear out of a ford will not bolt right in. It's a lot of work to take a stock 9" housing out of a ford and make it fit under an F-body. You would be a lot better off getting a pre-fabbed housing built specifically for your car.

And you don't need a huge cam like a MS3 or MS4 to make good power, and there are better cams for stock heads. Not to mention it's not all about peak power if you're driving the car every day...

Just remember that a bigger cam is not always the better cam.

Yep. I got a 224/224 114? LSA and with bolt ons put down almost 400 rwhp on a mustang dyno. Can't remember the exact numbers but it was like 392 or 394 or something. It's a daily driver and has a great curve on the street.

so this may be a dumb *** question but im looking to do a 225 heads and possibly a 242 cam, is that a good set up?
here comes the dumb question though, does a cam and heads do anything with my fuel mixture? i dont wanna loose anymore than 24mpg highway and 13mpg city. i know cams open the air and exhaust lobes but with more air would there need more gas? sorry im in the blue about all internal engine info

Ive got a 04 GTO M6, It uses the same block as the 01-02 Fbodies which is a LS6 block with 241 heads & LS6 intake.... I have Longtube headers, O/R Mids, CAI, Magnaflow X-pipe with SLP LM1 exhaust. I also have a Ported TB with coolant bypass, SLP UD pulley, TSP228R Cam "228/228 588/588 112lsa" Dual 650' lift Springs and Dyno tune... I put down 409RWHP / 386RWTQ on a Dyno Jet.... So thats just a little list of what mods i have to put down 400RWHP.... With what you listed, depending if your an A4 or M6, For ***** we will say M6 which dyno about 20rwhp more than an A4. You probably would be around 330RWHP 340RWTQ.....

i would just like to chime in that different dynos can give different results. an A4 puts down about 15 rwhp less than a stick, that doesnt nessesarily mean its slower. if you put in a big cam and have to change springs, why not port your heads or get some ls6 style heads. just my 2 cents

time to start looking into cams to meet those expectations. Dynotune is also a must after that! Is this a daily driver?
