Default 2.73 to 3.42? Worth it?

I found a stock 10 bolt with 3.42s locally for 200 bucks, he guarantees the rear end.

Is it worth changed out my 2.73s for it? Its really cheap. I think my rear may have some howl to it anyways, but im not sure I dont know what that sounds like.

Anyways should I do it?

Will do picking it up tomorrow. Will I see a bigger gain with 3.73s? Should I just do those? But these are really cheap

The 2.73s are really tall 3rd or 4th cant remember which one lol but which ever gear seems like it lasts forever on the strip!

Thats what alot of people say but these 3.42s are really cheap I dont think I will really see a difference by going to 3.73s for the price maybe a little but I dont think enough to be worth spending the extra dough.

Well I would just skip out on all of that and eventually break the stock rear you have now then step up to a 9 in or 12 bolt.

ran a 12.9 with 2.73's. ran a 12.8 after the 3.42's were installed. The car is more fun to drive on the street with the 3.42's.

for the money you cant beat it,and if its a stock 3.42 you dont have a risk of having a noise!!! Do it theres not a lot of difference in a 3.73 and 3.42.

If you were just swapping gear I would say step up to 3.73's, but you can get the whole rear end for cheaper than what the 3.73 setup would cost to install into your existing rear end. So in that case just get the 3.42's and be done with it, the added cost isn't worth the trouble.
