Nice... Well to SMS, good luck. Just throw a stall and Lts on it and you should yank the wheels off no problem.

I was expecting more of an argument. I'm sure there is a reason for your times.

Do you run those wheels in your sig pic at the track? If so that's probably hurting you atleast .3-.4 over some drag wheel and probably .2 over stock wheels.

You always have your nitrous in the car? The nitrous and nano bottles are probably 60-70 lbs not to mention you probably don't have any other weight reduction.

You don't have a very big stall. You could probably gain .3-.5 by switching to a bigger stall.

All that on top of your not so good DA, would make for a fast car at sea level.

Im not much for arguing on forums these days. Its pretty pointless.

I do have a set of drag wheels now but it might have gained me .2 at most, but its hard to tell. But thats another how many $$$s? Drag wheels and tires $1500ish, maybe more, maybe less, depending on what you get.

You are correct that my stall could be better if I was after all out track car. My 60s are pretty shitty 1.8s, a 4000k stall could cut that down a lot. At least .2 on the 60ft.

Weight is a very key point in this topic. My car is more of a true street car 3500lbs without me. Back to the original topic if you want to go low 11's on the least amount of $$, you better be willing to strip alot of weight out. Most all the cars on the quickest stock internals list between 11.5 and 11.0 are less than 3300lbs most around the 3100lbs mark.

HP doesn't mean much. You can go 11's with anywhere from ~340 up to 1000 ... It depends more on the rest of the setup, weight, and driver.

Fwiw, I have 15k in my camaro counting the car, it has a solid rear end, trans, clutch, suspension, It's been my daily the last month or so, ran 10.4s with pretty bad boost leak and not leaving off boost. Should get close to 9s, power is always there. Fun car.

I'm guessing you mean a 12 bolt or 9"? Either way thats a lot of speed for that small amount of money. I have about 10K in mods alone.

Do you guys actually know what it takes to go from 11.7 to 11.2? I highly doubt the ones saying "just" do this or "just" do that honestly know..

rear end-1500
converter-500-700
cam-250-400 (custom grind mid range 232/234 .600 113 lsa something like that)
FAST 9090-950
exhaust- 350-700
gears- 200
figure the misc. things.... springs push rods oil pump timing chain spark plugs etc etc etc- 300?
suspension- 500-1100
tires- 300
tune- 350
very fast rough estimate

You need to cut at LEAST a bottom 1.6 sixty time, and that should be on the slow side.. bottom 1.5s would be ideal.. and you will need to be trapping 90+mph in the 1/8.. neither are extremely hard but its more that some are making it out to be.
as stated, DA is going to play a role in your times as well..
it took me a nano kit to go from 11.5 to 11.0

Adding the NANO alone, on a 100 shot, picked you up .5?

yup, car ran very nicely....only diff from the previous runs were fuel jetted pill up one and bottle was at 1050 (nano regulates it to that) instead of 950. Later that night i took the nano off and heated the other bottle up to 1150 and the car almost left as hard and lifted at the 1000ft mark and went 11.3

It could use different wheels, but I'm looking to sell it. As I drive the Camaro everywhere, hardly want to drive the z anymore. No boost

Nice car! I also like your photo site, very nice shots. What rims are on your car? I am totally unfamiliar with nitrous systems, what is a nano?

I am still looking for a clean, 99-2002 automatic Z28 or SS. Your cars performance is what I am looking to duplicate.
