and not to be a dick either but how much do you know about nitrous. if you can reliably spray 175 for $250 go ahead. nitrous kits and other things needed add up quick. Ask ruckus46gt how much he has in his nitrous kit.

Go back and read the very first post. Its not how cheep can it be done...

Yes I do, I promise my car pulls hard enough on the top end to get me an 11 second slip, and then some.. My last one (with the heads and intake) would have went 10s with traction present, sadly like said, I had none (it would have been a 122-123+mph trapping car NA)

I didn't rip you at all IIRC.. I bought the springs for whatever TSP sells them for brand new and I bought the heads for the same price.. You can look up the prices if you are interested, I didn't get a package deal because I bought them separately..
I bought the cam for 125$ from a buddy of mine.. But, that does not matter because I sold it for what it was worth.. And IIRC I sold it to you less than what everybody else was selling theirs for..

If you think you got screwed on the price, I am sorry.. Nothing I can do about it.. I think I priced them fair enough and you must have to as you bought them VERY fast.

I have a nitrous kit that I am spraying a 175 shot on and I paid 225$ for it, I will give you dyno numbers saturday if you want them.. Paid 80$ for a brand new 255 fuel pump... I will also keep you updated on times.. I'm sure it will run mid-high 6s (closer to mid) @ 104+mph.

We can do his all day.. I know what is in this setup and I know to the "T" what I had in my white one.. Argue with me all you want, I know what was spent and I know what was ran with what setup and money.

I know with the Buicks, once you have a clean running STOCK car, for about $3-5k, you can have a reliable, mid/low 11 sec ride. By reliable I mean a car that can run 11.30's all day and not blow the rear end or trans out of it. Some say it can be done for even less, but that's up for debate.

Anyway, what is the rough cost for a 99-02 Z28 to run those same numbers starting with a clean running stock, or nearly stock car? I know it is always cheaper to start with a modified car, but I would rather know what is really in the car rather than take someones word for it. Thanks.
haha well im done with this one. SMS alls you need is that stock car your talking about and 1 grand, to run 11.3s and what was that again "not blow the rearend or trans out of it." That was the question right?? And if that dosnt work i quess you can talk to lemons12 about that. Im sure he can score you a built rear or tranny for $500.

Later and Good Luck!!!!

LMAO!!! I find it hilarious how quick people get their panties in a wad on here. The guy wants to run 11s. I tell him want it took me to get there, yall tell him what it took each of you to get there. Then the man takes our vast knowledge and experiences and comes to his own conclusion on what to do to his car. The point of these pissing matches is want?? OP, decide HOW you want to get there (NA, N2O, FI). Then pick up a book on that or the net and research it!! Each car will run differently from the other because each car is built by a different person. Good luck.

To the OP: i have 90mm TB&intake, LTs, cam, stage 2 heads, 3600 stall, 3.73s on beefed up 10bolt, lid, pulley, and tune with SFC, LCAs, PHB, and 17" DRs. my best is 11.7 @ 118 mph NA. last dyno (pre 90mm combo) was 420hp at the Wheels (I'm guessin it is now around 430ish). So there's an Actual Number for you to aim for. but it's gonna take more that a GRAND...... that's the nature of the beast.

PS. Ruckus46GT.... I want to see you car run!! If you're gettin those times.. your car is a FREAK. lol. I need to know your secret. and I'm serious!!!
??? If you have 430 true rwhp, you should trap well over 118.

11s with a Fbody are easy. Figure if it's stock, it will take at least 5 grand to do it and have reliability. I have 15 in my car, it can run a nine with boost issues figured out and everything is up to task as long as the short block doesn't complain, it runs 10.0 to 10.5 afr under boost. 93 pump no meth or race gas.

There are no secrets its a combo that works. Brad from Nano has personally seen the car run, and so have may other AZ members on this site. Car runs 12.4@109 with a crap 1.78 60' would be better if the stall wasnt so tight. My track is 1270 above sealevel and well az never cools off to much.

graph was prenano

I can't believe I missed this post. 400rwhp is borderline 10s in a decent car setup.

I've ran 11.7 @113 with around 330-340rwhp. I dynoed 313rwhp with a lid and catback and have only added, an electric waterpump, ported TB, pulley and a stall since then. I can't imagine that being more than 340rwhp through a locked stall. I could run 10s with 400rwhp. And I'm not completely full weight, but I'm not far off. I still have full interior, A/C and powersteering.

You're MPH would suggest that you're not getting a good 60'. Hence your not so great time.

wow thats very impressive with what little mods you have, and picking up almost one and a half seconds with a 100 shot! Very nice.

I agree with you on that one. Thats why my cars so slow, I cant 60 for ****, and i have almost full rear suspension. What converter do you have? You must spray it out of the hole, but still impressive for only 3k stall.

What did it run before the stall? That's not a very good 60' on motor.

no idea stall was in it when i bought it. I cant get better then a 1.78 60' and have tried many many different ways to get a better 60' and finally broke a 1.80 and got the 1.78. Car never spins, even if people in front of me spin i can stop up and hook. If you stall up to above 2200+ rpms on motor it just doesnt hit hard. If i stall it up to 1800-2000 thats the sweet spot, under 1800 it takes a while to unload it feels like almost(best way to explain it). Flashing it same as going avoe 2200. I've even had other people try to figure it out and they agree 1800-2k hold it and smash it best way to launch it.
