Default Just ordered a Loudmouth!

i just ordered the slp loudmouth catback exaust! 3in pide with the 3.5in slash tips. ive heard its a good exhaust and ive heard sound clips on YouTube but ive never installed an exhaust before.

anybody have this exhaust? pros cons? anything to watch out for during instalation? just trying to know what to expect. cant wait to get some sound out of my car.

maybe pacesetter long tubes and a y pipe next?

To me it's all in the person with this exhaust. It sounded good at idle and Wide open throttle (WOT) But boy it has alot of drone and rasp. Now if you go with LT's and ORY it's gonna even get worser. I didn't install mine took to the shop but it should mate right up due to SLP doing SS and Firehawk I would say. But it's all in the person. I loved it when I first got it but later it got old. An my I add it was loud but when you hear all that drone and rasp in the car your going to be like what the luck.

I liked the way it sounded when all I had was my catback. but the rasp and drone do get old. But its still nice.

make sure you put a catted ypipe with longtubes because youll hate it because its basically just straight pipes. Sounds good sometimes but does get old. The so called muffler is empty so i dont know why its there. Hope you like it.

Which one did you get #1 or #2?

If you ordered the LM1, you're going to hate it. It's rediculously raspy loud and sounds like a redneck pickup with cherry bombs. You'll go deaf on the inside from the drone and resonance. Plus it sounds like ****.

The LM2 is better, sounds good still fairly loud, and is liveable but does have some drone around 1800-2200rpm.

Either one is unmanageable with headers especially with no cats.

Alright ive hear "your going to hate it sooooo much" i just recently bought LM1 and my mods are in my sig.....AND I LOVE THE WAY IT SOUNDS. Theres a tad rasp but nothing annoying at all to me i came from a dual setup so its not nothing new to be loud at WOT heres a vid of my car with it just installed......

wow, sounds like most people dont like the loudmouth after a while. i got the loudmouth one. i figured if i get tired of the loudmouths noise then i could go to the loudmouth 2. i heard its not so loud.
at first i was going to order the dynomax bullet becouse its cheaper and, just from the sound clips on youtube, it sounds a little smoother. but i just went with slp so i could switch to loudmouth 2 if i want, sense its supposed to take just minutes according to SLP.
nice video t/a for life! cant wait for my car to be roaring like that.

i had the lm for several years and loved it. when i got my lt's and catted ypipe the rasp got really bad. i always got lots of compliments but know that i have true duals I will never go back to a y pipe setup. sound alone is a world of difference.

that is another option i was thinking about for later. if i get an x pipe there is no reason for me to waist my money on a y pipe right now. ive heard that they hang lower than the y pipe and there could be clearance issues. have you had any problems with that? i dd my car for now so i cant have anything hang too low. besides from the sound of an x pipe, does it give better performance than a 3in y pipe?

I"m not sure about performance. I never had the car re-dynoed when the duals went on but it does feel a little more responsive down low. as far as the clearance issues. I only drive the car on weekends but the roads here are up and down and I go over speed bumps no problem and my driveway has a drop off that I can clear with no problems. when your ready send me a PM and I can send you pictures of my setup.

I have the LM1, long tube headers and ory. I LOVE the way it sounds. Ya it's a bit loud every now and them. But I don't care. The car is my weekend toy. I get alot of people saying they love the way the car sounds. Or they say it sounds mean. That's the way I want it to be. Mean!!

Once you add cam and lt's you'll hate it. And no the lm2 isn't any better.

i wanna hear that tsp with the bullets! that was another option i had in mind but i think it was a little more expansive. is the LM louder than the true duel bullets?

thats wierd that slp LM is so popular and everyone says they dont like them. oh well, i still cant wait to hear my car with its new voice!
