Your stall needs to match your cam but even my 3600 was good before the cam went in. Do some reading in here and search it in the tranny section.

One word of advice, decide what cam will go in there and we can recommend a stall that is appropriate for you. Also if you have 2.73's start planning on a gear upgrade too.

The average LS1 A4 Owner does no less then 3500.

As for the stall and what it does, it allows the transmission to slip and depending on the throttle input and at what given mph your at, it will act differently.

Driving a stalled and stock stalled car, there is a difference but to me its not an issue. It's part of the game.

my car is a daily driver and i have a 230 size cam with a vigilante 3200 stall. it is very perfect for a daily driver. but honestly, after driving this stall for a bit now, i could easily step up to atleast a 3600 stall.

I would get at least a 3500 as mentioned above. It will really wake up the car. Do you have any idea what cam you might go with?

3600 and 3800 stalls are popular options. howver, it all depends on if you plan to upgrade your cam and rear end gears

I went with a Yank SS3600. Took me a couple days to get used to so now I don't even notice it. I wouldn't buy another if I could

I had a 4400 stall and it was a bit to much for the street and there was no way I could spray on it. So I sent it back in and got a 3600 nitrous converter. Its a lot tighter than my buddies 3600 just because mine is ment for nitrous but I am still able to pull 1.6x's with mine. With a 224 cam you can go with a smaller stall, but I would deff go with a 3600. Most people that get smaller stalls want to get bigger ones later on. Good luck with it though, you will love it and its the best upgrade you can do to an auto!

Im looking into a stall too, there is a ton of info on here about them. Make sure you match it with the right cam. There are videos too on here that run you in the car to see what the RPMs look like and so on also. Good luck man
