I doubt it. Unless you're talking about the stock optioned SLP dual/dual SS muffler. In that case, I'd say it definitely outflows the flowmaster. Or the factory GM SS muffler from 1998 that was single in, single out. I've always heard this was one of the best flowing factory GM systems ever. Don't know how true that is though.
Most people going from any stock LS1 exhaust to any crossflow flowmaster muffler don't see any big gains, but I rarely hear of anyone losing power over stock.

humm thats funny, i thought thats why people called it a chokemaster, because im talking about the 80 series one made for the f body. i wonder where i can get my hands on the slp muffler. but i was going to replace my flowmaster with a factory ss muffler with a cutout because im installing a cam.

I think people complain about the flowmaster poor flow compared with what its available in the aftermarket. I have a Magnaflow catback and love it. At idle the sound is close to stock with a bit more rumble and it opens up at full throttle.

I have a Flowmaster 80 series on my '02 Z. I just had it put on because my stock muffer was breaking apart and rattling like hell. Flowmaster sounds great, IMO, and power gains weren't much of a concern to me on this stock car.

^^^ wow that car is pretty quiet. i do really like the sound of the flowmaster but im a bit worried that it might be too loud with a cam. im going to try and look for a slp Duel/duel muffler
