One thing I know for sure is the V6 cars got a steering shaft that has the rubber isolator donut on it. My SS had a solid steel shaft. I messed up the end of it and all I could find was the donut kind from the V6s at the local yards. So I got one and removed the rubber ring, spaced it out, and welded it solid. I think its better for "road feel"

When doing research, I found that to "cut costs" the 2001/2002 v6's camaro's got the same suspension as the z28's unlike in prior years because they needed to save cost as the car was not going to be produced, I assume this went for all Fbody's as well..

However, the steering parts are a little different as a few people have found out doing ls swaps into v6 cars... something about the rack?? I dunno..

Of course you couldn't get the 1le with the base model I don't think but...hey...my v6 Camaro handles about 3x better then the v8...something I still havn't figured out...

My v6 handles like a turd, there is so much body roll its ridiculous. The firehawk is as stiff as a board around turns.

Same year SSs and Z28s make the same horsepower, unless the SS has optional SLP exhaust or Blackwing lid.

The end.
