I think I just stole a car...
I just bought a 99 Z28 with 114k on it for $2800. It needs about $150 in body parts and some misc interior parts, probably a window motor too. Also has 2 tears in the drivers seat. Other than those it's in pretty good shape and bone stock. I don't really have a point to this thread, just wanted to put it out there. I'm no longer LT1 guy, not sure how to feel about that yet. I really have no idea where to start on this LS1...

I have sourced the replacement fenders and bumper cover locally for $110, assuming more for tax and incidentals. Will need the new parts painted but I'll get that figured out then.
No Service Engine light on when running.
Need this part:
And this part:
All in all not too bad.

I'm not that worried about the panels, they're cheap to replace. I am pretty happy with my mileage though. Around here LS1 cars are hard to touch for under $5000 with tons of miles on them.

No codes, the key was on but the engine was off. My wife and kids are going out of town next weekend and I'll have the garage all to myself, should have the fenders and bumper cover swapped within a couple of hours, then just needs paint!
