Default big block

i own a 96 firebird. i am planning on puting a ramjet 454 in it. i already have located the motor. i have been told that this has been done before and clearance was close but it fit under a stock hood. does anyone know anything different. what problems would i run into. thanks for your help in advance.

Damn thats gonna be tight as hell,if it does fit you would defiantly have to go with custom or shortie headers...good luck man...sounds like this could get very interesting. Good Luck

"can't see the plenumn fitting under a stock LT1 hood"

Or the cowl or windshield, Have to weld the headers up in the car, and hope you never need to take em out.

you have to notch the cowl, in order to drop in a distributor for a big block.

I have seen it done, there is a black lt1 style camaro around florida with a 502 in it.

I have seen a couple LT1 style cars with big blocks that the guys at GM built for auto shows to put at there displays. They had some custom intakes though I belive.
