I bought a used set from someone off another board, they're in perfect shape don't even look like they had been used. I think I paid $60 for them.

Got my set on Ebay. Also it is available on the old GM SI2K CDROM sets that are floating around there, too. But it's easier to flip pages than move a mouse!

Stupid ? guys, whats a helm's manual...Isn't it something to deal with the tuning of an LS1, if so I would save your money and stay on here for a while. There are endless amounts of knowledge on this site.

Its a service manual. Like a Haynes manual, but from GM, and like 1000x more in depth.

I actually use the two together.. I find the Haynes often covers things start-to-finish a little better, but the Helms has better diagrams and more in depth data. The Helms seems like it assumes you know a lot of things that aren't written, or it makes you jump around from chapter to chapter a lot.
