Default Are Relocation Brackets Necessary?

I'm planning on buying, over time, LCAs, SFCs, Shocks, and springs. Are relocation brackets necessary for the LCAs?

What are the advantages of having them? Could you explain how they work? Thanks

It repostions your instant center, increase anti squat and traction, and improves 60ft times, so yeah important for traction, but I save money on that and buy a 12 bolt or 9 inch. dont waste money on a part when the 10 bolt will fail. imo

so the 10 bolt should automatically be replaced? unless the op is a track only car or he is laying down some serious power there is no need to swap in a 12 bolt or a 9 inch rear. i know plenty of people running 11s on the stock 10 bolt. LCAs will help even a DD car.

After I installed my relocation brackets w/ LCA's and PHB all my my wheel hop disappeared even before I was able to install am aftermarket torque arm. You will notice a difference with traction for sure with just relocation brackers on a DD. Recommended.

relocation brackets help reduce wheel hop, which can kill the rear end. So they could end up making the rear last longer.

People talk about the 10-bolt like it's made of paper. It's not THAT bad, depending on trans type and how you use the car.

Fact is, if you have a car that almost never sees the track, has an auto trans, and lives on Z-rated street tires, your stock rear will most likely last for as long as you keep the car, even at H/C power levels.

On the other hand, if you have an M6, you live at the track, the only tires you own are ET Drags... then yeah, you need to worry.

I've got a M6 but it's a street car, and I may take it to a track sometime just for fun lol. I'm thinking I'll go with relocation brackets!

I recommend it. Getting rid of wheel hop will help extend the life of the diff.
