After all is said and done, the car is awesome. I've been able to dial it all in pretty quickly thanks to all the how to's, stickies, and everyone's feedback. It's not for sale anymore, thankfully. Sold a project I had, so this one stays. Best deal I've gotten on a car in awhile. Took a lot of trading cars that I didnt like to get to this one, but it was all worth it.

The only model that will be a collectors item is the 30th anniversary edition with everything kept original and LOW LOW miles. All these random WS6's aren't going to make the cut. It isn't truth yet, but my bet is in.

Good deal though. I am looking at a 1999 trans am 6MT, fully loaded, black on black w/ C5 rims for 8500. Hopefully just 8k though. We will see tonight. So you should feel pretty good about your purchase. You could afford a brand new rebuild for the money you saved!

Are you talking about the 99' white one with the blue chrome wheels? I would agree with you completely. Even finding any of these cars that are still stock is getting harder and harder. But me personally, I would never invest in a stock car to keep it stock. Modding and customizing gives your car part of your personality, IMO. Thats what makes going to meets and car shows so cool, who really wants to go look at a bunch of stock cars? Ofcourse all of us that mod make those stock cars go up in value every year.

And I agree with you. I love modding. I just like a clean slate to start with. I am all about driving up the price on collecters cars. If modding my trans am pushes the generation to classic status, then I am sure to have a lengthy and entertainng journey ahead.

Just picked up my trans am. Will post pics soon.

dude, you got a decent deal! Id count myself as lucky to find something like that in Hawaii! F-bodies are rare as it is, let alone one in relatively good condition, and clean! lol
