a way to make sure is look at the floor of the intake. if its a dropped floor, its the LS6

as far as i remember, some LS1 intakes on vettes do not have the EGR port

not sure the exact year for a vette. ill look it up to make sure tho

No LS1 Corvette ever had EGR, so none of them will have an EGR port (LS1 or LS6).

LS1 intake man. i couldnt really tell if it had a dropped floor or not but something else i noticed gave it away.

LS6-and-later intakes have square ribbing between their intake ports, while the early intakes have "x" ribbing

Even if you did get an LS6 intake, if the rest of your motor is stock you're not going to "feel" anything from it. The gain will be too small. Now, if you have a heads/cam setup already, you might notice the difference if your *** is very sensitive.

Typically SOTP (Seat of the Pants) feel has to have a power change of at least 8% of what the car was making already and for most bolt ons its not enough. People often confuse SOTP w/ Throttle Response or it's their imagination. Also weather change can give people that thought too and to a smaller extent converter flash.

A good example is my 02 T/A, NON WS.6 Bone stock w/ 6 speed/10 bolt made 310 RWHP.

I added an SLP Flo Pac (smooth bellow, sheet metal duct, SLP Lid with their Blue Filter, and a seal for the intake gap.

The car then made 324 RWHP on the same dyno.

To be honest, I did not "feel" a difference. Felt about the same, but I knew it was making more. Based on what I learned working with Dynojet shops was that would have needed to make at least 335 RWHP before I could say that there was a difference.

Down the line I had added a 12 bolt (4.10's), VRX4 cam (228/230), Dynatech SuperMAXX kit w/ a Corsa and then a Dyno tune, its make 384 RWHP and I can say, there is a difference (gearing chng aside). That was a 20% Change.
