Not worth it IMO and if you do only polish the exhaust side as a little roughness helps with fuel atomization on the intake side.....

i would polish the exhaust runners and especially the combustion chamber

my 317 castings where pretty nasty in the combustion chambers. those little casting drops will create hot spots and ignite fuel at a certain level

before

after

1) porting a head is good, if done correctly.. i.e. if your not a pro i wouldnt recomend it.
2) polishing is bad. the air needs a rough surface to move over, if its been polished the friction is actually higher and slows down the air flow.

look at your fast boats, you dont polish or wax the contact patch, you sand it, it creats an air cushion between the boat and the water...

you are an idiot

you only polish the exhaust runners, smother surface will move more air, and will have less carbon build up

the reason why nobody polishes the intake runners is becasue the fuel needs to atomize.

usually you remove all the casting marks on the intake runners and go over with sandpaper
