few questions Could someone please list all the freemods for 98 SS and also there is a little black box mounted in the trunk on the left side. it's empty and has a sliding door, looks like a cd changer possibly. thanks

Just messing with you man, I have no idea. Maybe it IS cd changer, consider youself lucky, I didn't get one.

1)yes, it probably is a disk changer.
2)LS1.com also has a few "free mod" write ups (ill catch hell mentioning that site in here) in case u can't work the "search" function on this site.
BTW:SERIOUSLY consider ur chances by screwing with ur MAF. do a search on this as well. very low success ratio, i do not recommend. enjoy.

If you slide the door open it should eject a magazine.

That little black box is just another way they're controlling us.....rip it out and revolt!!!!
Ok, just kidding....sounds like a CD changer.
A buddy of mine has a '98 T/A. I know it's not an SS, but the mods will be the same for the most part....here's a link to his car:
