what hood does a newbie need? I had a small fender bender and the corner of the hood was bent down right where the head light is (or was lol), i've decided to pay for it on my own and not use insurance so id like to go all out and get a new wing, fender, and hood. I already picked up a rear wing and fender i just need some opinions on what hood i should get. I dont want the SS hood becauseit seems that is the normal "upgrade" for a stock z28. I want something outrageous looking but something that is not tacky either

Hey man, sorry to here about the accident....I personally like the SS hood, but you dont want it...Its okay though(lol), you have other options for your Z... Some include the Warbird, Big-Block Stingray, Ultra Z,Z Style, and Cowl(Availbale in all different size scoops). .. IMO I like the Stingray...Pics below

it seems the consensus on the board for a z28 is the ss hood, and followed very closely by the ultra z. so im gonna steer away from them. I found one hood but its a 4 inch cowl? is that the 2 inch one you all are talking about? the pic under the ultra z is what the hood looks like. that thing is redick! i love it.
