Default ls9 cam?

Im building my first lq9 to go in my z71. I just picked up a ls2 cam and figured out it wont work without the cover and extending the harness. Will a ls9 cam work without any changes??

From what I've heard, no. Same with an ls7 or Ls3 cam. Why not just buy an aftermarket cam? You can get em pretty cheap on the boards

If you don't want radical maybe an 02-04 Z06 cam.

Yea, thats what ive been looking for is the ls6 cam. A member just posted the ls9 cam for sale on the board and got my mind working. I was thinking the wide split would work well with a 125 shot.
As for the aftermarket cam, if i bought a new cam, i would have more in the cam than in my whole rotating assy. Not that im on a tight budget, just its a dd 4x4 truck that i want to suprise the unsuspecting with my stock idle. lol
