Default stock Z-28 dynoed today

well, i took my 2001 Z-28 in to have my BMR tubular SFCs installed today. While I was there, I decided to have my car dynoed to see how much power the car has stock. Then after I add mods I will get the car dynoed again and see the increase for each mod. My car is a bone stock A4 and has 20,900 miles on the odometer. The car put down 295 HP (can't remember the torque)but the corrected numbers were as follows: max HP was 278.3 and the max Torque was 317.4, hopefully these numbers are good. I was hoping to get 300 HP but oh well, now the modding can begin.

numbers look good. people see one 320rwhp stock dyno and they expect that to be the norm .

Looks good. I dyno'd 306 and 329 stock with a M6, so the A4 numbers sound good

so if the uncorrected HP was 295, is this rear wheel HP? If so do I add 10% of that figure to get the flywheel HP (which would put it at 324 HP)?

Usually for a rough estimate, driveline loss is 15% manual, and 20% automatic. Corrected doesn't mean correct flywheel, it's still a rating at the wheels. I forget what all goes into a SAE corrected number, but there is some calculation for it.

Pretty good numbers. They are a tad low IMO. My '00 A4 Z28 put down 293rwhp. Your numbers are still in the ballpark of what most other A4's are making though. It's a good place to start. A few mods and you'll be at 400rwhp!

mine put down 306 with just a lid. So your 295 sounds about right.

btw, 295rwhp is 359 crank hp (295 / .82)

KrazyDan- You should be in 4th gear because of the 1:1 ratio. The dyno operator should know that. Normally you don't dyno your own car. They do it for you.
