Default How do i tell if my car is running rich ?

I think it may be running rich because sometimes after driving it around easy for a few days then i get on it hard Dark black smoke will puff out ? Not alot just a little puff soon as i kick it then it clears up. Does this sound like its running rich ?

I would recommend getting the car dynoed with an air to fuel meter. Is it throwing and codes at all? It could be something as simple as a fouled O2 sensor or a oiled MAF sensor. Good luck with it!
