I may be off a bit on this, but suspension is going to play a major factor in getting that front end off the ground. Not to mention tires that are going to hook like crazy. If you're planning on doing wheelies, plan on buying a new rear end since 10 bolts have been known to break under stock power alone...

I'd check out the suspension section and look for all the best drag setups.

Your going to need a good suspension setup front AND rear, sticky tires, a trans brake in that 4L60, more stall and a HELLUVA lot more power than what you have now.

EDIT: And taking some weight out would help some too.

Let me eleborate some on the suspension. You need the rear hard and the front soft. Not having much travel also helps but will hurt on the landing...been there and done that. I doubt you need 500RWHP, b/c Evolution has a new stang running 10:50's on a 150 shot and it picks the wheels up pretty good using just suspension pieces, gears, slicks/skinnies, and probably a 6 grand clutch dump.

So your gonna need either a trans brake or swap to a stick. If you dont know, a trans brake is on a buttom and when pressed it locks the trans in 1st and reverse to hold the car still, when the button is released it is just like dumping a clutch with a stick. They are AWESOME but will find weak parts very quickly.

You are gona need at least 500rwhp, some very sticky tires, and a better suspension to do a wheelie in a camaro. O and one more thing, you have to have a EXCELENT launch.

U dont need a lot of hp u just need good tires, suspension and a lot of weight off the front of the car.My 02 SS A4 is pretty close and only has 325rwhp running 11.88.A big converter will help also (4400).

A 9'' or 12bolt and let it go @ 6000rpm and hope nothing breaks. They do make drag race spring also that make the front end come up fast to plant the rear tires but it is all in how the car hooks.

look at my avatar and that was done with the mods in my sig, only suspension being LCAs. It's not a wheelie but I would think that if I added some spray, relocated the battery and went with some drag shocks all the way around and softer springs up front you would see some decent air.

Truth be told it would be cool to look at and say you've done it but a wheelie is not the goal when setting up or launching a drag car.

I forgot to add that lightweight wheels upfront would be a huge help. I also am running without front sway bar or bumper support.

I would be fine with one time. Just want to catch it doing one on cam or pic.
Does it really need weight off the front? Can it just be done with suspension and drag tire setup

For you I'd say you need to cut weight off the front. How much more does the LQ4 weigh over the LS1?

LoL. . . . Now I've seen every toppic. . . .

Massive torque and a solid rear suspension/rear end is what you need along with a solid sticky tire.

I remember back in the day when my buddy popped a wheelie on the street, not safe but damn that was cool.

how high do you want to go? I pull a front wheel a few inches at the track... no skinnies, no weight reduction, almost no suspension. good tire, big converter, and a 100 shot of nitrous ... but it is a v6.

I don't care as long as the wheels go up
