Ram Air or Firehawk

Ram Air or Firehawk
I am looking at buying a F-body and can not make up my mind as to which one to get. The 2 cars are a 2002 Ram Air T/A with 3000 miles, six speed, blue and the other one is a 2002 Firehawk T/A with 11000 miles, six speed, blue. Both are in showroom condition and both are priced about the same and have the same options. Is there any reason to get one over the other? I like the Ram Air hood alittle better than the Firehawk hood but the Firehawk is going to be worth more down the road. Any suggestions? rctreece

Well, in 2002, the Firehawk came with 345hp. It had the SLP blackwing lid and better exhaust than the WS6. Now, everyone argues about weither or not a t/a is faster than a z28 and whatnot...
So if that stuff matters, get the Firehawk, especially if it's about the same price. I know what i'd choose.

I agree. I have a vert Hawk and have yet not to see one on the Houston area. I actually stumbled across mine at a local carmax dealership sitting in the back. Needless to say my heart stopped when i saw it. You will get more "rarity" with the Hawk. My wife also likes the WS6 hood, I just like the fact that I can say that there were only 1501 Firehawks built in 2002 and out of that there were an average of 6-7 black verts made. Mine also is an "auto", so it may be even "rare-er" (<--is that a word).
So anyways get the HAWK!

It depends on what you want to do with it. Do you want to mod the car? Would it bug you to start modding a hawk if you think it might hurt the value of it latter on down the road. For the most part your getting the same car(even color). If you get the WS6 your probably gonna do a catback and lid first which the Hawk already has. I think it basically comes down to looks. Pic the one you like the most ,I think youll be happy with either.

I do plan on doing slight mods to either car but nothing that cant be put back to stock. The wife says get the Hawk and then go buy another TA and do whatever the hell I want to it. That is cool but will have to wait because I already have a Silverado, Blazer, and bass boat. I move around alot due to my job and if I get a Hawk I can tow it with the Blazer and tow the boat with the truck. The only reason I like the ram air better is the hood. Other than that they are the same to me. The Hawk does have a loudmouth on it but the guy has all the parts to return it to stock.

Keep in mind that the loudmouth is loud and especially VERY loud when you decide to add cam, heads, and so forth. Some people do not like the loudmouth once those things are added. I have the SLP dual, dual 3" exhaust with a 3" flowtech cut-out and has a deep loudness to it.

When I went to buy a TA,I found I liked the Firehawk hood more than the WS6.The WS6 looks mean, but I didn't like the way it lined up on the front bumper. The Hawk was only $100 more to order,so I went with it.
As you can see alot of Firehawk owners mod the hell out of there car.Screw keeping it stock for future resale!! I do keep all stock parts so it can be put back to stock if needed.
