Window Tints
I do it this way:
1. cut the tint close to the right size
2. clean the window
3. soak the window with water or something (I use Windex)
4. pull off the backing and put the tint on the window
5. squeege (< sp?) the air bubbles out
6. trim with a razor blade or sharp knife
7. let it dry for a day or two before you put your window down
There are probably better ways but this works for me.
What he said ... I would just like to add one or two things.
1) When you precut the Tint, do it so it is about 1-2 inches too large on all sides ...
2) When you squeege (no clue on sp), start from the middle and work your way out, making sure to get rid of all the bubbles in the middle .... you can also start from one of the sides and work your way to the other side ... whichever you choose.
3) After you get all the bubbles out, retrim it the best you can, leaving a small space of just window on each side ... maybe | | about that much, so the tint wont get caught on **** and the edges wont start peeling off. I have had mine on for alil over 2 years now, with no bubbles or anything.
4) Take the side windows out and do them as he said .... THEN attempt to tint the rear, since it is a bit trickier. Also when you tint the rear put a sheet over everything so the water and whatnot doesnt go all over the place, start from the top and work your way down.
5) Pick a good tint.... too dark sometimes looks dumb, unless you have a black car, too light also defeats the purpose. I have 5% on my car and it blends in nicely with the black paint, but I would probably go 10% or greater on a car that wasn't black.
6) Do the same tint on the windows as you are going to do on the back ... my first time tinting my old car, I used 20% ( I think ) on the sides, and 10% on the back ... it looked stupid since they were different.
That should be about everything ... just take your time, and if you mess up just redo it, no biggie.

I really apreciate the info on the window tinting
But now could someone explain the back hatch. Do you have to line up the tint in like 2 strips to get the whole back window?
Thanks
