No matter how long you wait, and/or how great of a deal you find, eventually you'll run across a better deal. It never fails. At some point, when you find a good/fair deal on a car you like, you just gotta pull the trigger.

Not if you do the smart thing and quit looking

to the OP...unless you're in desperate need of a car right NOW....i suggest waiting and continuing to look....my car was originally a FL car....an old lady bought it new in 98 at 51 y/o and finally sold...i picked it up from a dealer in TN who bought it at auction in FL....had a HUGE stack of service records and repairs with it....definately a good find for me....so like i said...hold out if you can until something good comes along...
I bought my 01 SS for $12,500 from Chicago. Had 39k miles. I wanted to pay more for a low mileage, stock car cause I don't want to mod the engine for a while. If I was going to mod it, I would have bought something that was half the price of what I have now. Reasons for that are because of reliability. I think these motors last a decent amount of miles in their stock form. It depends on what you;re looking for.

Agreed. I spent 2 months searching within 100 miles then I gave up and went about 3 months searching within 600 miles. I flew to Chicago and drove it home. It was a 326 mile trip. I am happy with my 01 SS.

All very good advice and reason...as in many cases, my money limit is set in stone, so next go around may be different. I'm going to the owners house tonight. I'll post the results...wish me luck!

Well, didn't get to buy the SS...she just would budge on her price.

No worries!!! Got an even lower mile car for a better deal. A member on this forum btw. This is all the pics I have for now. I'm proud to say im a new (to me) LS1 owner..

98 T/A a4 w/ 104,xxx miles. Lightly modded. Longtubes + full exhaust & a lid. Other than that, looks bone stock!

Very clean, drives straight and smooth and when I push the skinny pedal it moves foward like a rocket! I'm still grinnin ear to ear right now. I'm going to give it a good clay bar/wax and steam clean the interior. No mods for now...although I would like to get a ram air hood lol!

Btw, the pacesetter longtubes & ORY SLP is loud as SH*T!!!
