I highly suggest using a flowmaster merge if you are going to build your own y-pipe. Its a great merge, i have been running it for over a year. The part number is y300350. Its a dual 3" merge that exits at 3.5". If using a 3" cat-back you will need a reducer so you can mate that y with your cat-back.

You need to find a speed shop. They will do what you want because they just say its for off-road use only or whatever they do to get away with working on cars with no cats.

Both our catted and off-road y-pipes should fit those headers. Off-road pipes are $129.99 and the catted one is $349.99. Let us know if you need one!

+1 about the flowmaster merge, im in the process of ordering the parts for my y pipe as well. Not to hi-jack, but whats the best/cheapest way to do it. Should i buy a merge and ory and take it to a shop or just buy the merge and how the shop has the piping to do the rest?

Its been a little over a month ago, but my brother matched a Texas Speed ORY to the Jet Hot Headers on his 02 SS.

Quality and Fitment were top notch and the TSP ORY also has a "Flowmaster" type merge that is great flowing.

I'd love to upgrade the exhaust on my Firebird with their Catted Y, but I don't think it will clear the Chassis Mounted Spohn Torque Arm Setup I currently have under the car.
