apparently something is not fine if it is smoking. white smoke or not. had this same problem a few times with fourwheelers. confused me because it was white smoke and still had power but eventually they started using more and more oil and then i hope everything works out man. good luck

that motor with the ls1 pcv system will burn a little bit of oil normally. if coolant doesn't get low and your oil looks fine you should be okay. 500 miles for ring set...it can't be driven hard during this time either...maybe he did?...but you said you still had good power.

ya he said it dyno'd at 360rwhp and that was 2 weeks before i bought it, he had it tuned at that time, i have the receipts. still has great power, just that little smoke, which was not noticable when i was looking at it before buying, there was a little bit of smoke but not much

just keep an eye on your oil....if its starts getting milky you've got a problem.

Here is your answer. This guy, another guy, and now myself are telling you...

IT'S YOUR VALVE SEALS... not a big deal at all. Rings don't take long at all to seal anyway.

VALVE SEALS... got it?

question? when its valve seals, isn't just more when you first start it and then not really much more?

mine will do it when i first start it cold and when i start it at full opperating temp. i let it idle and it still will smoke with little throttle given. as you probably saw in the video, i was almost at operating temp in the video.

It depends how much the valve seals are leaking. If they're really bad the car will smoke all the time.

at least look into the valve seals....its not that hard to remove the valve cover and rockers.
