Better buy for all motor would be 243's.

so 243's are better if im not planning on putting any FI in my car... its not happening soon but it will b happening before to long. like a year or so. So i might just go with the 317's because the guy is going to give me a good deal and he is selling me yellla terra's 1.7's for a good price also. Unless you think its a bad idea?

ya im done doing the bumps... ill make it to 50 by doing it right lol... and the thread i read about it said get to 50... and then 24 hours later you can post on the classifieds. But as you can tell im new lol

In the event that Chavez885's post was to heavy on info ill help a lil. The 317 heads came off the 6.0 trucks. They have 72cc combustion chambers. That is the largest option you can get for a LS style engine. That larger combustion chamber lowers the compression of the engine a little making it better for boost and pump gas. They have the same exact layout otherwise as a LS6 head which is the 243. Same valves ports everything. Makin the 317 the best stock option for FI.

243s for budget NA, 317s for budget boost. For max effort you
would be looking at something else (either prepared stock castings
or straight aftermarket).
