Default LS1 Roller cam wiped out

I just got a 99 SS ls1 and it looks like most if not all of the lobes and roller lifters are totaled what would cause this to happen. This is not normal wear and tear and this engine (I was told has 440 at the wheels) so its not stock. also the lifters have score marks on them pretty bad marks. IM LOOKIN FOR INFO ON WHAT THE HELL HAPPEND

I am just guesing but it will give you somewhere to start looking. Lifter trays are only plastic and can where out letting the lifter rotate a little. second it could have been a regrind cam and it was not properly hardend after the regrind, and third could be a oiling problem.

If you mean lifter preload was .080 then that is not the problem (on OEM lifter) but how do you know this?

my mistake they are.450 with .080 wall pushrod and the sides of the roller lifters look like they were sanded with 36 grit sand paper and on further inspection some of the valve stems have very sharp edges looks like more wear THE ENGINE IS JUNK AT THIS POINT
