"Best" is too broad. Best sound is one thing, best power is another, best bang-for-the-buck is another, best fit ... etc. Threads like this turn into a "this is what I run, and I like it" thing. Listen to the LS1 sounds link above, and draw your own conclusions.

 

it kills me how many people think magnaflow is loud. it really is not. im running longtubes, ory, and no cats and a 230 cam on a 112 and its quiet.

if i were to do it again i would go with hooker catback or TSP duals. I know the hooker might not be louder, but it has a more muscular, and deeper rumble than magnaflow. magnaflow does sound good, but not intimidating at all.

ill be getting rid of my magnaflow for duals w/bullets here shortly.

 

depends on your other mods. exhaust can be very scientific when your trying to make more power. it can easily change you power band as well.

SLP LM1 for the catback, nothing beats it when you don't have headers. I personally have it, and now have it with headers and ory, and STILL love it! WOT is like hell spewing out the back of your car haha. Get the LM1! if you don't like it with headers, all you have to do is replace the LM1 resonator/ muffler with a different brand of muffler, and it'll be a whole different exhaust...Borlamouth, Magnamouth, etc.
