Default stall?

Hey guys, I just bought a 1998 z28 (automatic) How do I figure if the car has an aftermarket stall converter?

Any guess why my car slightly rumbles when pressing the brake at a stop?
When I put it in neutral it goes away.

Pop the inspection cover on the bottom of the bellhousing and look inside.

Stock converters are unpainted and as big as the
flywheel.

Rumbling may be soft motor mounts and exhaust too
close to body sheet metal.
