I apologize for my little outbreak there! If it were my car, I wouldnt drive it at all until it has had some tuning on it. I would trailer it there. Its not too far but something could happen to it at any time. Good luck project man!

To the OP... what is that thing idling at in the video??? I just listened to it again and it dont sound near stock but it also sounds like it may be idling around 1000-1200rpm. Please correct me if im wrong. If it is actually idling around this rpm it might sound MUCH more choppy around your 850 range. Then it probably would sound like that cam you posted.

Do you have any tuning software? If so, I would definately start pulling some fuel out. Watch your wideband...oops, do you even have one? Never run rich on a brand new motor, that will just make things worse. Again, if you have them (wideband, HP Tuners etc), start making your own adjustments and keep an eye on your wideband. If your in the 10-11.00 A/F that's a little rich to me. I would lean it out to around 12-13.00 under crusining conditions only not WOT!!! Do this until you can get some Dyno time from a professional. This will also help your MPG too.

I know that this thread has gone a different route away from your question about the cam. I can bet you that once you get that rpm down to 850-900 you will LOVE that cam sound. Now, since you need to get that rpm down and need the car tuned, it is all done at the same time! so kinda like killing 2 birds with one stone. Dont drive it any more if you can help it...go get it tuned and then enjoy you newfound beast!!! you are gonna love it!! Good luck man. Hope we answered your questions

The first step after installing bigger injectors should have been contacting a tuner such as "Frost" and got a base tune on the car. You just broke-in that new engine on wet cylinders from those bigger injectors washing them dow= fail!! The high idle is whats smoothing out the cam imo...

[QUOTE=WSsick;13976802]Like others said, its the high idle killing the lope of the cam. Check for vaccuum leaks and get a tune right away. Whoever told you not to is retarded. Trailer it there if possible.
ya im towing it some day this week to the tuner.. NEW TECH PERFORMANCE
I'M going to check for any type of leaks tomorrow

What exhaust do you have? That could be hiding a bunch of it. Get it tuned, but even that may dial it down quite a bit.
Here's mine, for reference. 224/228 .637 .639 110. Not the best video, but it will give you a basic idea.

^^ Ovelap definitely has a HUGE part in what the cam idles like, not just the low LSA. (Random exaples: A 236/242 114 LSA with 11*(degrees) of overlap would sound pretty sick, where as a 228/228 110 LSA would only have 8* of overlap.)
(Intake + Exhaust)/4 - LSA * 2 = overlap.
For instance, yours would be 6* of overlap, so it will sound pretty healthy at the correct idle rpm, but nothing like a TRex or MS4 with HUGE overlap. But again, high idle is what's killing your lopey sound.
