Default Need suggestions for a cam

I have a knock towards the back of my block. Im thinking it might be a loose or bent piston rod. Since this happen Im thinking about putting in a bigger cam when i get it fixed. I have stock heads so I want a cam that the stock heads can handle. Any suggestions?

I am going to be camming my 00SS i am going to run I think a 228R is what I am thinking now. I contemplated a 233/239 but really to get full potential of a cam you really need to do some head work, what heads are on ur car I have 241s on mine and will either go to 243s or 5.3 TEA stg 1.5, your springs also will have to accomidate your cam lif so on a stock set under .600 but i highlys suggest doing some homework and just end up doing heads also. Its almost like changing oil and running an old filter
