Default Looking at an LS1

Hello,

I have been looking at Lt1's for a while to purchase as a project. However, I recently came across a 99 T/A for sale with 177,000 miles. The guy said the engine has been rebuilt, belt replaced etc. The only issue he stated was that the power window motors stopped working (is that a common issue?).

It is an Auto, non-WS6 and he is asking less than 5 for it. Is there anything I should look out for when I take a look at it?

Thanks!

window motor is a common problem.. plenty of cheap window motors on ebay , I have mine replaced and is working fine!

look for compression test, oil pressure, leaks , cracks or rust in chassis, transmission slippage to name some..

good luck

Another common issue with any 4th gen firebird is the headlight motor dieing on them.

I've never seen one die yet, but I know they will make a grinding noise when the gear gets old.

I would ask for the proper paperwork on that rebuild.
