Default car jacks?

hey guys so i have my z28 stored away and im about to put it on jacks to put headers in and do some stuff on the bottom, my question is would it be better to keep the car on jacks all winter or no? i have heard it is good to get the car "off its feet" but at the same time ive heard its not good to keep the suspension and eveything hanging, any suggestions? thanks

It is never good to keep a car on jack stands for long periods of time unless the suspension is properly supported.

Wow, somebody was up early this morning! I don't think its good for the car or the jack stands to leave the car on stands all winter.

Put the jack stands under the suspension. You can leave it like that forever.

I'd like to know how this is not good for the jack stands.

It's not designed to "hang" in an unloaded/extended state for long periods of time. Leaking shocks are one result I've seen from this.

A shop told me that any greaseable fittings that are left unloaded for any time will have to be checked and regreased.

i've left my car on jack stands for a few days at a time, but wouldn't recommend it for any longer than that. i've never had issues because of it. if it would be longer than that, just bolt the wheels back on and set it down inbetween times you'd work on it.

the only thing i could see that would be affected would be the shocks. i'm no expert, but i don't see what else could be harmed from hanging.
