Default Most compression on 93 octane

Not sure where to ask this. The setup i have planned would be around an 11.6:1 compression. I live in va so 93 octane is not a problem. While im at it; more compression does add power right

that is pushing it especially when the weather gets hot, i wouldn't go over 11:1 -11.25:1personally. More compression allows you to run bigger cams which in turn makes bigger power.

Would it be fine on 100 octane. I could get it regulary just wouldnt want to pay for it; but i would sense i dont drive it but a few times a month.

I run 59cc chambers on the heads I have and that puts me right at 11.5 to 1.. no problems here

efi usually gives you a little more compression to get away with on pump gas than carbs do. My nova's right at 11:1 and no pinging at all, even on the nitrous
