Default lt1 vs lq4

Ok guy let me start by saying hi .... I'm new 2 the site and haven't built a car in about 7 years. I have a lt1 from a trans am I've been meaning 2 build but now that I'm ready to get this project started I'm really thinking I wanna go with a lq4.... the engine will be going in a grand national

In a GN? The TR purists will string you up for something like that! Haha!

Seriously? I'd go with a LS engine if you are already going to the trouble of an engine-swap. The LTs are great engines, but don't currently (and never will) have the aftermarket support of the LSx.

Either can make as much power as you are willing to spend (have you seen the infamous 1000+rwhp V8 GN video on YouTube?), but I personally would go with the newer/more supported engine.
