pretty much all after market exhaust systems will give the same gains. The preference comes down to the individual and the sound they like. With that said, sound is speculative some love the loudmouth others hate it. So if you change your exhaust do it for a new tone, not power.

Keep the borla! Buy a DMH cutout for it to put in place of the plates. I dyno'd my car and with cut out closed I put 410 RWHP with it open I put down 420 RWHP. No the borla is not the only mod on my car, but that just shows how much the "adjustable" part helps and flows. I loved the electric cut out because it was adjustable on the go. I could crack it open a little or all the way.

Power wise, probably not a whole lot... sound wise... well, there is a difference. I have a love hate relationship with my LMII. Days when I want to hot rod around and be as loud as possible, then I love it. If I am driving on the highway for more than a half hour I want to kill myself because of the drone. I guess that is why I need loud music... to cover the exhaust. But you would be best off sticking to your borla, those are nice systems and you could put that money elsewhere.
