well, I'd still say the bottle would be your best bet, but you already said no to that and no to a cam, so there isn't a whole lot of options left unless you want to boost.
If you're an auto a stall, gears, DRs, and weight reduction could net you some pretty decent gains. Kinda hard to do what your asking without going internal, bottle, or boost. Other things that come to mind are full bolt-ons, electric water pump, underdrive pulley, etc.
Also, if you're a stick, plan on dropping a couple grand into a rear end if you're racing every weekend. Stock 10bolt will go pretty fast at that rate.

What are your overall goals for the car? And it might help if you provide a little more detail on the car, such as trans. Like someone said before if you ruled out cam and N20 the only other major option would be boost. Is there any reason you ruled out a cam? There are several light cams such as the GM hot cam that provide decent gains while still retaining reliability as long as its installed properly.
And if you already have full headers and lid, the only real other bolt ons would be an intake manifold, ported TB, UD pulley, or gears. And with that your probable talking between 20-30 HP, so your not talking anything major.

Not to be a dick, but that is a great way to waste a lot of money. A good set of heads and a fast intake will only go so far on a stock cam, especially the 01-02 sized cam. What is your reasoning against running an aftermarket cam? A nice 228/232 cam with a set of heads, a FAST intake, and an UD pulley would pick you up over 100whp and still run great.

Personally, I'd say if you want to go faster, your best bet would to be this. Don't swap the auto for a manual. Leave the 10bolt in there, stall the auto, get some gears, DRs and put the money you'd spend on the heads and 12bolt towards either a cam or N20.
If you're dead set on no N20 or cam, I'd spend the money you would spend on 12bolt/heads/T56 and put that towards a turbo or D1sc. Either way, i love my t56, but for the track, I'd keep that auto and put that money elsewhere.

I'm a nitrous fan so I will put my vote in for that too. It's a cheaper way to add power, you don't have the power unless you want it, and if done right it is completely safe and reliable.
And it's nitrous not nos. Welcome to the V8 world.

This makes no sense. You'll waste money this but won't do a cam? And why exactly are you against a cam?
You can run a mild cam and gain a ton of power over the stock cam, without sacrificing drivability if it's a DD car.
