I'm going to be doing a BBK L/T and ORY install here in about a week or so to give my Z28 a little more bark. I know MLS is the go to gasket type for these, but is there a specific brand to look for? I work at a parts house, so I can get Felpro and Victor Reinz at a reasonable price and within a couple days. Is the GM MLS gasket worth the extra money?

 

Yes, but I just refused my stock ones and no leaks here

 

If you bought them new they come with decent gaskets. When I installed my trickflows I got some MLS gaskets but I couldve reused the ones that came with the headers they were still in good shape. I would buy some o2 sensor extension harnesses though.

 

They are coming off a friends car who is going to a set of Kooks, so I'm getting a great deal. He gave me his set of gaskets that came with his headers, because he got a full gasket set. If I need them, I will purchase them but I don't see the point in spending the extra $40 if I don't have to.

 

re use the stock ones other than paying for some good ones. do not use the paper gaskets most headers give u when u buy them u will have a leak within a month.
