Default Need help with throw out bearing

I have an ls7 clutch kit and it came with a throw out bearing. I removed the old bearing from from my ls1 slave and they look similar in size. I test fitted the bearing on the slave partially and it appears that it fits no problem spring and all. I'm wondering if it is ok to use it? Or is there something about it that won't let me? I'm doing a t56 conversion and this is a part i am not certain of.

Here's a couple pics of it

Here it looks like if a pushed it down past the metal tab it would snap into place exactly like the old one?

Any insight is appreciated

Thanks for reading,

Brandon

Evening bump, anyone know? It fits just like the ls1 throwout bearing. Just wanting to be sure of whether or not i can use it. The only difference i can see is the top contact area is flat then rounds off to the side. And the one on it before was just a flat ring for the contact area.

you would be ok

my stock one that i took out was round, the new one was flat

as long as the bearings are good, either one would work

Oh ok that makes me feel better then lol. I searched up the two different styles and shown them both as ls1 slaves. I just wasn't sure that when i got the ls7 clutch kit that it would work.
