has anyone that used the diablo or predator or hypertech handheld tuners ever noticed a differece or would this just be money wasted. and yes i know most of you are going to save save up for a dyno tune but thats not really an option in my area. appreciate the input

Don't know the answer to your question, but another alternative would be a mail order tune A Frost Tune has many great reviews on the forum and fir a mostly bolt on car it's not too pricey. He even deletes the AIR and EGR codes for you.

gm hitech did a comparison test with hand held.check the section dealing with tuning,there is a guy from diablo you can ask more questions of.

I have a Diablo Sports Programmer for my charger 5.7 and my trans am ws6 and to answer your question yes it does help the car wake up. Even though the canned tunes are not agressive the HP gain is still noticeable. I also used mine to delete the EGR codes and set my gear ratio. Good buy in my opinion if you dont want to foot the dyno tune bill

Mail order tune is better and a lot cheaper...I had an HPP on my old 97 LT1 I actually did notice something right after the tune was put in though i didnt notice anything @ the track.

you can buy and down load tunes with a diablo,go to their forum or find a diablo guy in the tuning section.
