I have been getting different answers from people on here. I have a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am Ws6. Do i have the Ls6 intake on my car already or not? Thanks.

Stock 2000 LS1's do not have LS6 intakes. Only the 2001 & 2002 LS1's came out the the LS6 intakes. You can view an LS6 intake on the pic in my signature. Notice it does not have the black hose on the top side.

When I got my 2002 TA WS6 I didn't know about anything in it, so I put on my wishlist an ls6 intake without knowing that 01 and 02 already have em, and when I read about it I took it off immediately, I was close to get it, but good question, get to know your car first before you do anything on it.

I replaced mine with a ls6 used intake, felt the difference right away, unless it was a placebo effect? lol you'll have to delete your egr and have it tuned out or you'll throw a service light

Porting a used LS6 intake manifold is a cost efficient way to get some easy HP, and well as port TB. I had New Era do my TB and it definitely helps. Stock TBs don't sit perfectly horizontal atfull throttle and they grind the tab out a bit and open up the hole a bit. I am lucky enough to live 5 mins from them though. 75 dollars and they ship it back to you the next day. I got a used LS6 intake manifold on here, they get bought just about as fast as they are posted on classifieds so you have to constantly updating every couple hours... but it was well worth it.

Good point to avoid this just look underneath and you can see where the "shark teeth" are. Also make sure to pull your break booster hose towards the front so you dont break the oil pressure sending unit.

Going to lock this one down as it's 4+ years old and was bumped with some incorrect info:
The LS6 intake didn't appear until 2001. Your 2000 WS6 Formula did not come stock with this intake.
