Like when you footbrake what's a good rpm to take off on? I'm having trouble getting any traction with the stall converter when I launch

what tires? some converters like to be flashed at the line and some like to be staged around 1500rpm. you just have to find your sweet spot. BUT tires play a big part of this.

If we are talking about launching at the track or under certain "important street encounters" than you need to step up to a Drag Radial IMO.
There is only so much a street tire can handle, a good converter is gonna surpass those street tires almost immediately.

what tire pressure? tires are a huge part, but you can pull a decent 60' without DR's, but you would do better with them. try dropping the tire pressure to 25 and launch at 1000-1500.

Weather defianetly does play a big role, but with that converter and street tires no matter what your not hooking. Put Dr's on it and it really is trial and error. My fathers car has had 4 different converters in it and all of them liked being launched differently. Every converter is different. Try at idle, 1000, 1500, 2000 till you find what works best.

I drive an M6, but my buddy has a 3600 stall. Bolt-on only car on 3.42 gears and a DR. His best runs were not foot braking at all. Line up, and stab the throttle on 3rd yellow. He cuts constant 1.7 60's all day with great R/T.
