So no bbk's eehh? TSP seems logical for 1 7/8 but ory is another $130. Not a cheap *** just wanting the most for my $$$! And about this tune.....car was just tuned by previous owner,(cat, air, egr delete) I'm planning H/C in the near future so surely it can wait? Also wouldn't mind a stall maybe a 3k. I'm appreciating all the feedback!!!

TSP headers are best bang for your buck, stainless wise at least. BBK and Pacesetter are also solid value. I personally would not wait for TSP to stock their headers. Buy the BBK's/Pacesetters and enjoy! Also leaves you some additional cash for other upgrades.

I dont know anything about BBK, but I know the pacesetters fit excellent. Long tubes are a good start. Your next mod should be a stall, didnt know you were auto when I posted my first post. Stall is a huge upgrade in the auto... a must! Look for a 3600 stall but also it will be much more then $500. Stall alone will run $700+... well worth it though! My buddy dropped .5 secs in the 1/4 from JUST the stall (he was on a DR though too)

Oh and as far as a tune... if you are going to get h/c in the future just run untuned with the headers for now.

When you chop the old exhaust off your car, save the cats. There is a member here that buys them for like $120ish/pair. Dont forget to replace motor mounts while you're doing header. It's also a great time for a tune up since the car is in the air and you'll have easy access to the deaded #8 plug!

I will update BBK +ory install but will be a couple weeks before I get to it. I def will get stall but was wanting to wait until I spec'd a cam. Good to know I can run headers without tune but if I also add ls6 intake? Heads cam stall still a ways down the road......

Cats already gone...but I will have basani ory for sale soon for stock manifolds & possibly fit shortys? Tune up is in the plans, is there a favorite plug/wire? And I've read alot about the motor mount replacement, what's the advantages? Trans mount too?

I did headers, ory, cat-back, ls6, and lid on my old car without ever tuning it. Took that car to a 12.6 1/4 mile run which I thought was decent. Ran untuned for over a year. I think you will be ok without a tune.

plug/wire get NGK/MSD wires... theres a deal somewhere in the sale section for $70. Motor mounts are useful because they will limit how much the motor moves when you floor it. This in turn keeps your y-pipe from banging against the car when you get on it. Common issues with how these y-pipes fit. I would not do the trans mount as it adds a lot of extra vibration that you can feel throughout the car.

Agreed on the NGK/MSD set. Check the sponsor specials link in the classefieds section. Poly motor mounts are pretty much a must and I personally love my poly trans mount.
